Apokoronas walks in Western Crete by Geoff Needle
Many people enjoy walking on Crete, particularly in the spring when
there is an abundance of wildflowers and the weather is not so hot.
A new book is available "Apokoronas Walks" which offers 25 selscted
walks through some of the quietest areas of the Apokoronas region of
North West Crete. The majority of the walks have been chosen primarily
for their locations in quiet countrryside, or with good views, or both.
There are many small churches and old traditional villages to be
visited along the routes. The walks are written with clear directions.
