It is possible to rent property on Crete, long or short term.

If you are looking for a holiday rental, make sure the property has the appropriate licence. 'EOT' as otherwise you will not be covered by insurance.

For long term rentals the same licence is not required. Some people like to rent a property in the winter  to see what living here is like, especially if they are considering buying a property.
