Kokkino Horio is considered one of the most beautiful villages
in the region. It has fantastic views of the snow covered mountains in
the winter and sea views all the way down Souda Bay. The outskirts of the village boasts land that sweeps down to the sea with unsurpassed views all the way down Souda Bay and is literally a few hundred metres from the seashore. The old village was used in the filming of Zorba the Greek starring Anthony Quinn, and many of the people from the village.  |
